Jane Austen often visited Worting House and attended dances here. The design captures the classical elegance of high society of the period and the enduring grace and refinement of the location which you will enjoy today.

Jane Austen mentions visiting Worting House, reputedly danced in the ballroom. Worting House was converted to serviced offices in 1989, they enjoy telling our clients that they may be standing where Jane Austen stood, and may be working where she partied!

Worting House can be accessed off the B3400 – turn into the main entrance to Worting House (not Church Lane), there is ample parking, follow the signs, the nearest postcode for sat nav is RG23 8PY). the Bookbench is right outside the main building. Why not pop in and say hello at reception – they are happy to allow visitors to use their toilets if needed.
